It’s as though Autism as a Disability isn’t a protected characteristics under the Equality Act. Or perhaps just not one shared by the right people.

I read the final Book of Dust with great disappointment a few months ago. I am sure that if none of the above had happened it would be a better, clearer and more honest book. We are all the poorer for it.

Joanne Harris and Nicola Solomon wrote the following in their letter to the Management Committee that was leaked:

‘The SoA works hard to protect and support its members and to work for inclusivity, better representation and professional standards of discourse.’

This pompous statement was made by the same Joanne Harris who, a year later, ran a poll on X mocking death threats to JK Rowling (following the stabbing of Salman Rushdie) and who then laughed along with the dismally unfunny attempts to ridicule her from The Midnight Society. She wasn’t working hard enough.

No she wasn't. The way Harris' twitter account was allowed to hijack SOA policy was just disgraceful.

Yes, that was vile. To use a near fatal attack on Rushdie to make a pathetic cruel dig at JKR exposed the rot behind a #BeKind hypocrite.

Why is it that people in the arts write such tortured and meaningless angst-filled accounts about something which is of no practical impact on anybody doing things that matter to other people in the real world, mending cars, fixing boilers, delivering food, taking part in the supply chain or the provision of vital services and infrastructure et cetera. And just gettingover themselves as part of life. Punching nasty people in the face when the occasion requires it. Whether real or imagined offence, these screaming hystericals from the box of literary frogs are from the same warped genes as sociologists and other 'ologists that also fill the halls of woke academe with their parasitic presences- and if it's the Guardian the offence giving and taking is trivially based, and has nothing to do with reality, something I know as a fact because I know the facts of the subjects they report on regarding climate and energy, as an engineer/scientist, the Guardian most certainly does not checkits facts. It repeats what other like minded people say the facts mean. Because they can't understnd them themselves. Too thick to do maths and physics but with egos that want to have an opinion on everything and incontrol of what others can say or do. Same genral calssifcation as politicians.

All this intellectual hysteria and offence giving and taking are vacuous bullshit from feeble minds that exist in an area of pointless human activity, stuck way up their own arses, down infinite rabbit holes they create to expand their egos, or to entrap like mindedly vacuous opinions to be attacked within. Ultimately. The people that get excited by the spats of other such pointless people, living their pointless lives in these meaningless occupations, are simply not worth the effort of trying to understand, so I'll stop.

There is no knowledge, wisdom, or the understanding of it, to be found here. I don't understand why such egotistical, fantacistic, one lead short of a full pencil, people as fill this narrative, who have probably lived a whole pointless life doing nothing of any practical economic value to others, ever, are allowed to reproduce.

So unsubscribe is the logical option - because none of what is written by the denizens of these rabbit holes makes very much sense, and is certainly of absolutely no value or relevance to most real working peoples' personal development, that must be built on understanding how nature really works to the benefit of others - of importance to the progress of mankind in general. If all the people involved in this exchange of meanigless twoddle were all disappeared at once, nobody in the real world of useful endeavour would be harmed in any practical away. The best test of "pointlessness".

Best reject all this pointless opinionated froth on the sewer of life altogether, it can be treated with a detoxifying agent and flushed away at the processing plant and nobody will ever notice, perhaps be recycled as bio gas? Or used to line animal cages if printed, the most eco friendly use for the Guardian after making it into paper balls to burn, to light the wood, that lights the coal, in fires that keep us warm, much cheaper than electric heat pumps, etc.

Some real art here to summarise .... I guess its just been wasted time ............ bye. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ihi04jxAX84

Brian I think you should write your own post. Much too much here for a comment.
