Saturday Online Poetry Masterclass June 13th 10am- 6pm
Join me for a full day of live online poetry writing designed to generate new work and strengthen your confidence, whether you’re just beginning or returning to your practice. The day includes a generative poetry session with prompts from 10am–12.30pm, an editing session from 2.30pm–4pm using examples from the group, and a final sharing and feedback session from 4.30pm–6pm, so you leave with new material, editorial insight, and a feeling of inner cheer. £55. Small Group Online Poetry Masterclass with Tutorials July 11th
If you’re writing regularly and want more focused, individual attention, this small-group masterclass offers both a shared workshop and personal feedback. We begin with a generative workshop from 10am–12pm, move into individual 25-minute tutorials from 12pm–4pm, and end with a shared reading and feedback session from 4.30pm–6pm. It’s an excellent opportunity to develop new poems, discuss your work in depth, and learn in an intimate, thoughtful setting. £85. Please book here.
In Person All Day Workshop at Caper Bookshop Oxford August 8th
With Oxford Creative Writing. Spend a full day writing poems in person with a small group of fellow writers, from 10.30am–6.30pm, in a large, dedicated room behind this delightful East Oxford bookshop. The day includes a generative workshop in the morning, individual tutorials through the early afternoon, and reading and sharing after tea—offering both creative energy and personal attention. With numbers capped at 8, there is generous space for conversation, close feedback, and creative work. Lots of cafés nearby for lunch; dinner optional. £225, or £175 for Founding/Annual Subscribers. First Tuesday Online Poetry Workshops: Free with Paid Subscription
The next workshops are on 2nd June, 7th July, 3rd August, and 1st September. These sessions are quickly turning into a happy community, produce joyous poems and are free for paid subscribers.
One to One Tutorials/Editing Sessions: £50 or free with Founding Subscription
A tutorial lasts 45 minutes plus reading time if work is sent in advance. I can cover any writing genre you like, though I can’t read more than 2500 words per session. Please email akatelanchy@outlook.com to book.
This is all an experiment for me - I’ve got lots of experience in teaching but not in setting everything up for myself - so please feel free to comment on anything. I want this to grow with us.
